Privacy policy — visit bookings
This page explains how Maison Michel Forgeron uses the information you provide when you book a visit on this website.
Who is responsible for your data?
SARL FORGERON – Maison Michel Forgeron, 11 route de Bouteville, lieu-dit Chez Richon, 16130 Segonzac, France.
Contact for any question about your data: sarlforgeron@gmail.com.
What data is collected when you book?
- Your first name, last name and email address.
- Your telephone number, if you choose to provide it (optional).
- The departure date and time you choose, the number of participants, the tour language and the language of the website you were using.
- The date and time of your booking.
- If the booking is cancelled: the cancellation date and, where applicable, the reason noted by the Maison.
No payment details are requested: no payment is required for the visit.
Technical data
- To limit abusive submissions of the form, the booking module keeps an irreversible fingerprint of your IP address (never the address itself). It is deleted automatically after 2 days.
- The booking form sets no advertising or audience-measurement cookies.
- As for any page of the website, the host and the publishing software keep technical logs, which are renewed automatically. In the event of an incident, they may contain the IP address and the reference of a booking.
Why is your data used, and on what legal basis?
Your data is used solely to record and manage your booking (confirmation, organising your welcome, changes or cancellation) and to contact you about it.
This processing is necessary for the performance of the booking you request (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation). Without your name and email address, the booking cannot be recorded or confirmed.
Your data is not used for marketing purposes.
Who has access to your data?
Personal data collected when you make a booking is not sold or rented to third parties, nor disclosed to third parties for commercial sale.
It is accessible only to authorised members of Maison Michel Forgeron and, where necessary to manage bookings, to the technical service providers used by the Maison, including OVHcloud for website hosting and email delivery, and Google for Gmail and Google Calendar.
These providers process data in connection with the services they supply to the Maison. The information shared is limited to what is necessary for each service:
- The Maison Michel Forgeron team in charge of visits.
- The Maison’s email account (sarlforgeron@gmail.com, Google’s Gmail service), which receives the notification of each booking and any replies from you.
- The Maison’s calendar (Google Calendar) receives only, for each departure, the date, time, language and total number of participants, in order to organise the welcome; no names or contact details are sent to it.
- The website host, OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France, as technical service provider; confirmation emails are sent from this hosting.
How long is your data kept?
| Data | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Contact details and cancellation reason, for a visit that took place | 90 days after the date of the visit |
| Contact details and cancellation reason, for a cancelled booking | 30 days after the cancellation or after the scheduled date of the visit (whichever is later) |
| Irreversible fingerprint of the IP address | 2 days |
| Booking management log (actions by the Maison, without your contact details) | 365 days |
| Booking emails in the Maison’s mailbox | 1 year at most |
| Anonymous data (date, time, number of participants, language, status) | Kept for statistical purposes, without any data that could identify you |
At the end of these periods, your contact details are deleted automatically from the website’s booking module; booking emails are deleted under the procedure described below. On request, the Maison can also delete them immediately (if the visit is upcoming, the booking is then cancelled).
How long are booking emails kept?
Booking notification emails received by Maison Michel Forgeron, and any related correspondence, contain the information needed to manage the visit, including the contact details provided by the visitor.
These emails are retained for no longer than one year and are then deleted under a monthly review procedure managed by Maison Michel Forgeron.
Booking data stored in the website’s reservation system is subject to separate retention periods, as described in this policy.
Is your data included in backups?
Technical backups may temporarily contain booking data, including after that data has been deleted from the active database.
Manual backups created by or on behalf of Maison Michel Forgeron for maintenance or website deployments are retained for no longer than 90 days and are then deleted.
Automatic backups maintained by the hosting provider follow separate retention cycles under the terms of the relevant service.
Access to backups is restricted to authorised persons. If a backup is restored, the applicable personal data retention and deletion rules must be reapplied.
What are your rights?
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict and object to its processing, and the right to data portability. To exercise these rights, write to sarlforgeron@gmail.com, quoting your booking reference if you have it. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).
Is your data transferred outside the European Economic Area?
The website is hosted by OVHcloud in France. Certain email and calendar services used to manage bookings are provided by Google and may involve the processing of, or access to, data from countries outside the European Economic Area.
The terms governing this processing and the safeguards applicable to any international transfers depend on the services used and the relevant contractual arrangements.
